2. This product is a soft core resin body material kit, not a finished item. The kit includes video tutorials, and you will need to assemble and craft it yourself. The difficulty level is not particularly high, but it does require patience to follow the step-by-step instructions. With average crafting skills, most people can create a functional doll body, though the level of detail may vary. Most imperfections will be hidden under clothing, and if you have lower standards, you can skip the finer details and focus on the basic functional parts.
3. The body material kit does not include a head, hands, or feet. These can be purchased separately if needed. Alternatively, you can use your own head, hands, or feet if they are of a similar size.
4. A soft core resin body cannot fully replace a regular BJD (Ball-Jointed Doll) body. Its appearance, stability when standing, and overall feel are inferior to those of a fully jointed resin body. Since it is mostly filled with soft materials, it’s difficult to achieve sharp, defined lines, and the body may appear somewhat "soft." When posing the doll in highly folded positions, the joints may flatten and look less appealing. I also retouch these areas when photographing my dolls. Due to its top-heavy design, the doll may struggle to stand independently and often requires a stand. On the other hand, poses with a lower center of gravity, such as crouching, sitting, or lying down, will work better than with traditional BJDs.
5. The soft core resin body is more functional in nature. It is lightweight, makes swapping heads, hands, and feet relatively easy, and offers room for creative customization. However, it is not a substitute for a BJD—adding heads, hands, and feet won’t make it cheaper, and it still won’t look as good as a BJD. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly alternative, we recommend opting for cheaper resin "Buddha-style" bodies instead.
6. Body coloring, molding, and polishing are done manually and cannot achieve 100% perfection. Minor imperfections and color variations may exist, and the interior areas of the resin parts are not polished.
7. The filling material is mostly sponge. White sponge will naturally oxidize and turn yellow over time, but this does not affect functionality and is not considered a quality issue.
8. The soft core resin body is a brand-new product, and there may still be room for improvement. Many people are unsure whether they have the crafting skills to complete it. If you have doubts, we advise you to wait for reviews and feedback from others after the product is released. If the response is positive, there will likely be a second batch, and you can purchase it then. If the feedback is overwhelmingly negative, consider it a bullet dodged.
